Gry Tangen
Head of Independent System Monitoring
Gry is a senior aviation leader with over 30 years of experience across regulatory authorities, commercial aviation, defence programmes, and design and maintenance organisations. She has held key management roles within Part‑21J/G and Part‑145, driving compliance, safety performance, and airworthiness governance.
She was appointed by the Ministry of Transport to NOU 2002:17 on helicopter offshore safety and later contributed to defence-sector programmes, including EMAR implementation and quality oversight for the SAR Queen introduction under NAWSARH.
Before joining VIPE 21, Gry served as Compliance Director for a major airline operating two AOCs, an ATO, and integrated CAMO and Part‑145 approvals.
